Dental Crowns for a Dental Implant
If you are getting a dental implant, we will need to place a dental crown over the implant so that it matches your natural teeth. Dental implants are comprised of a titanium screw and abutment which is attached to a dental crown. The final result looks and feels very natural. We will fabricate the crown to look just like the rest of your teeth so you maintain a uniform appearance.
The Dental Crown Procedure
The procedure is typically completed in two office visits because we will need to prepare the teeth to accommodate the crown before taking an impression and then send the impression to the lab to create the custom crown. You will be fitted with a temporary crown, which you will need to wear for two to three weeks before placing a permanent crown.
